Our Story
Humanize Homelessness is an all-volunteer tax-exempt organization in Bellevue, Washington — dedicated to the principle that helping those less fortunate in our community leads to a kinder, more supportive and more successful society for all of us.
King County has the third-largest concentration in the nation of people living in homelessness, behind NYC and Los Angeles. That statistic alone gives us some small measure of the enormous challenges we seek to address.
The people of Humanize Homelessness strive to accomplish our mission by leveraging the skills and networks we used in our business careers to form partnerships with local shelter providers, local service providers and businesses — all to add value to the services they already provide to the homeless population.
We also seek to attract and guide new volunteers and businesses to support and champion people who are struggling. We are currently seeking volunteers with skills in digital design, program management, marketing, programming, social media management, and event planning.
