About the Program
The Be Our Champion program is best thought of as a way that local businesses and contributing individuals can commit to ongoing support of a local homeless shelter or service provider whose mission resonates with them.
Humanize Homelessness awards a Badge of Honor to participating businesses and contributing individuals — in recognition of their kindness and action in connecting with and serving their communities. The badge is a symbol of the participants' role in being socially responsible to the communities that surround them.
The Community Champions program has three tiers — starting with Silver for participation, Gold for additional direct support, and Platinum for going above and beyond. Participants renew/upgrade the badge periodically depending on the level of participation they choose.

Engage with at least one shelter event or volunteer activity in the year.
Gold
Direct Support
Provide financial donations, in-kind gifts, or regular service to a partner shelter.
Platinum
Going Above & Beyond
Become a year-round anchor partner — recruiting other champions, sponsoring programs, and leading by example.
