We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all of the donors of the Fall Supper Campaign. With your help, we were able to deliver 40 meals on November 4th and 40 meals on December 8th from Conscious Eatery to women at The Sophia Way. This campaign supported a Seattle local restaurant and helped to provide meals to women experiencing homelessness.
Why are we doing this type of fundraising campaign?
Humanize Homelessness was founded with the vision that establishing human connection was an essential part of assisting people experiencing homelessness. Ever since the outbreak of COVID-19, Humanize Homelessness has been exploring ways of providing needed services to shelters in ways that align to social distancing recommendations. A number of our volunteers and contributors are in higher at-risk categories, as are many people who are guests in the homeless shelters we support. Our hope is that the Humanize Homelessness Supper can be a channel for our supporters to continue to connect and help local people experiencing homelessness in these challenging times.
Another reason for us doing this campaign now is to help a local restaurant in times of great economic uncertainty. For October 2020, it was Conscious Eatery, but we are considering extending this campaign to other restaurants since it was successful. Please contact us if you know of a local restaurant that might be interested in partnering with us.

Note: All funds collected for this event will go to pay for meals after minor expenses for the service processors (e.g. PayPal)
If we collect donations in excess of our target for this fundraiser, we will apply those funds to future events and needs for the homeless events.
